Hewitt community invited to public event May 14 for Hwy 71 – Hwy 210 improvements
Baxter, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites the traveling public, Hewitt area residents and businesses to attend a public meeting on May 14. Attendees will learn more about a Highway 71 – Highway 210 roundabout project scheduled for 2027.
The event will be held Tuesday, May 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hewitt Community Center, 514 N. Wisconsin St., located adjacent to the Hewitt Public School Museum.
Stop by to learn about the roundabout project and provide feedback on the preliminary design. There will be no formal presentation; guests may come and go at their leisure.
In 2027, MnDOT will construct a roundabout at the Highway 71 and Highway 210 intersection in Hewitt, Todd County. The project includes upgraded pedestrian sidewalks/approaches and the replacement of guardrails to bridges.
